PREP THE PIECES
Cut out the pieces from fabric of your choosing
Try a few test cuts until you find a “bat” that works for you or use the pattern from the free download
Add single wide stitches to the ears for dimension
Assemble the face first using toothpicks to apply the paint and glue
I added a dab of black spray paint to the center of the rhinestones
Allow to dry completely
ASSEMBLE
Gather the center fabric together and pinch
Adjust until you like how the folds look
Run the needle through, wrap the thread around the center and tie a knot
Add adhesive to the “face” strip piece and wrap around the bow
Press the ends together – you may need to add more adhesive
Punch the eyelets into place
Attach the necklace chain
Decide where you want the necklace to sit on your neck/chest
Remove chain links as necessary
Add the necklace clasp pieces
Suggestion – use a thicker fabric than I did.
I ended up adding extra fabric pieces behind the top and bottom tips to add more support
Now wear your new accessory with pride and have a howlin’ good holiday!
