FUN & EASY PINECONE PINEAPPLE

ADORN YOUR SUMMER OR EVERYDAY TROPICAL DECOR WITH A CUTE MINI PINEAPPLE. This fast and inexpensive craft can add flavor to floral arrangements, table settings or a welcoming wreath.

YOU’LL NEED:

  • Small Pinecone
  • Wood Skewer
  • Small Plastic Leaves like Aquarium Plants
  • Yellow, Orange & Bright Green Spray Paint or Acrylic Paint
  • Power Drill & Bits
  • Gloves
  • Mask if using Spray Paint
  • Brushes if using Acrylic Paint
  • Clippers or Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks

PREP

Clean your pinecone so it is free of dirt and dust
Set up your area for painting by putting down paper or plastic
Drill a hole in the bottom of the pinecone the width of a wood skewer

PAINT

Apply a coat of full coverage yellow paint to one side
Allow to dry and paint the other side
Repeat these steps for the second coat of yellow paint
Once it is dry, gently spray the bottom with a dusting of orange paint
Repeat with green paint to the top

ASSEMBLE

Add hot glue the skewer and insert into the base of the pinecone
Clip off a desired section of the plastic plant and use hot glue to stick it to the top of the pineapple

Place or attach your beautiful pineapple creation as you see fit

Now all there is left to do is to sit back and admire your craftsmanship! Perhaps a Painkiller or Piña Colada in hand. Cheers!
