MAKE TISSUE PAPER TIE DYE HEARTS

CREATE YOUR OWN LOVED THEMED GARMENTS BY DYING THEM WITH BLEEDING TISSUE PAPER HEARTS! I created a cool and unique pair of pajama pants by applying the paper hearts to the wet fabric after it had soaked in a mixture of water and vinegar for about an hour. To get the paper to really bleed, sprayed the hearts with additional water. I started with the process with black hearts, let the pants hang dry, set the dye with a hot iron, rinsed them and then tumble dried on low heat. I was left with an unexpected result of washed out blue hearts. I repeated the process with red and maroon paper hearts. I really loved the end result however…

TISSUE PAPER TIE DYE DOES NOT LAST ONE WASH ON MODAL FABRIC BLENDS!!! Lesson learned. It was still a really fun project. I would suggest trying this on more natural fabrics like silk.
